While we're STAYING AT HOME I thought it would be nice to have a positive page on our class website with ideas of things we could do that are kind, thoughtful and helpful. Small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Lucy's lovely idea of painting a stone for her Nana's grave gave me this idea. Send me your ideas and any kind things you've done at home. I'll start a list of things we could do and send me your additions to the list:
Ring Granny or Granddad and have a chat with them. They're missing you and while cocooning they'd love to hear from you.
Keep your bedroom tidy. Small start but would go a long way! Nicer place to read your book in then!
Offer to help around the house - something small like emptying dishwasher, tidying up. All help is always welcome.
Say thank you - You could make a card or write a letter to someone who is helping us stay safe by working on the front line like a doctor or nurse or someone working in chemist or supermarket. They're putting themselves at risk daily to keep us safe.
Read a story or play a game with a younger brother or sister.
Ring or text a friend to see how they're doing. It's always better to ring and catch up with friends from our class.
Make a cup of tea for your parents. We love when we get looked after!
Have you any elderly neighbours who are cocooning that you could help with shopping - ask your parents first.
Share a skill you have with someone in your family or over the phone with a friend.
Be kind to your pet - take them for a walk daily or give them an extra treat.
Be kind to yourself - do something you enjoy doing like listening to music, drawing a picture, face-timing a friend, dancing, reading or doing mindfulness.
